SAFE/SANE Map
In the summer of 2025, GGWW developed a first-of-its-kind SAFE/SANE mapping project to address a critical gap in care for sexual assault survivors.
SAFE (Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner) and SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) providers are specially trained to deliver forensic care, yet many hospitals lack this expertise and redirect survivors to distant facilities when immediate care is needed.
GGWW has collected and mapped SAFE/SANE provider data nationwide and this resource is available to help survivors and those supporting them quickly locate appropriate care.
