About GGWW

Global Girls Worldwide Women advocates for girls and women in a universal context, with certain areas of focus. We assert that women’s rights are human rights. We work to end child marriage, end female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C), ensure safety for girls at school, reform legal and justice systems related to girls and women who experience violence, and illuminate the experience of women in war.

GGWW promotes a new global culture of anti-misogynistic humanity in government, religion, and education.

Founded in 2019, GGWW advocates for girls and women with a grassroots-to-global vision, diverse expertise, and collaborative ethos. We speak with a voice that is clear, unrelenting, committed to reform and justice, and fearless. Women’s voices are essential to economic growth, political stability, and sustainable peace.

GGWW promotes a progressive, holistic, and reformative vision of girls’ and women’s rights as human rights. With our advocacy we focus on the banning of child marriage and FGM/C, ensuring safety and opportunity in school, engaging men as allies, championing legal and justice reform to better serve those who have experienced gender-based violence, and illuminating the experience of women in conflict and war.

We support and align with those who, from grassroots activists to high value philanthropists, actively and without equivocation support the rights and safety of girls and women. Every girl, every woman, around the world.

We do this not because girls and women are weak, but because they are targets of misogyny.

Denouncing and swift powerful responses to gender-based violence and oppression must be part of the process toward gender equity. Time is of the essence. Girls and women are harmed and die every day. Long term plans are not acceptable.

GGWW works toward gender equity by providing resources to girls and women, supporting allies, raising awareness and calling for reform with published commentary, and informing policy makers.

Because we believe: individuals and local movements to heads of nations are essential in securing equity and safety.

Negotiating gender equity results in the message that less than equity is acceptable. Our voice is direct and assertive, steeped in the belief that compassion is for transcenders, survivors, and the oppressed, and justice is applied to those who violate human rights.

GGWW advocates. We do not negotiate.
